The Beech Base

Our unique Beech Base is a medium tension, sprung bed frame, made with solid FSC certified timber. All our frames are properly screwed and glued together and not simply stapled. Inside the frame are sprung beech slats that give the base its integral flexibility and spring. The slats are then upholstered in a needled coir and horsehair pad, and finished with our anti-dust mite organic lambswool tufting.

The Beech Base is covered in a choice of colours woven by Bute Fabrics, and comes with a range of solid wood legs. Other fabrics can be used on request.

The Coco Base

The distinctive Coco Bed Base is an eco divan made using organic upholstery fillings. The Coco Base can be used with any Naturalmat mattress and is made with a solid FSC certified timber frame. It is upholstered in a layer of organic coir and anti-dust mite organic lambswool for softness and insulation.

The Coco Base is covered in Naturalmat’s hard wearing anti-bed bug herringbone cotton and the base is finished with hessian to keep it dust free. The Coco Base is available with or without drawers and comes with robust castors. Other fabrics can be used on request.

The Ottoman Base

The Ottoman Base is the perfect solution for maximum bedroom storage. The slatted bed base is fixed to a metal frame on gas struts, allowing you to easily raise the whole mattress and access under-bed storage.

The Ottoman Base is upholstered in our organic lambswool and then covered in a fabric of your choice.

Bespoke Bed Bases

All of our customers have individual needs and the Naturalmat team are able to hand craft bespoke bases for unique spaces and requirements.

The Savina Base

The core of this bed base is made from certified organic coir, providing extra resilient support for the mattress and we then add our certified organic lambswool, which is naturally fire retardant. The base has solid wooden legs which are attached to reinforced cross spars for extra strength.
