Natural Pocket Sprung Mattresses

The Pocket Sprung Mattresses Range uses individual pocket springs that are hand nested into a firm edge frame. The springs are then encased with natural fibres for extra comfort, support and ventilation.

We adjust the finished feel of the mattress with varying gauges of spring wire and different combinations of natural tuftings. All our covers are made with pure unbleached cottons.

Horse hair needled on to a hessian backing protects the pocket springs from wear against the natural fibre tuftings, while giving extra spring and flex to the mattress.

To enhance the comfort of the pocket springs, we use a selection of our natural fibres such as organic coir, cashmere, natural latex,lambswool and mohair.

The Exe

The ultimate in organic, pocket sprung luxury, The Exe uses hand-nested individual pocket springs and the finest sustainable fillings.

We further re-inforce the edge of the mattress with high density organic coir. A layer of horse hair needled on to a hessian backing protects the pocket springs from wear against the natural fibre tuftings.

A layer of natural latex provides further support and spring and then the mattress is finished with a sumptuous filling of cashmere and bamboo with our organic West Country lambswool on top.

The mattress is covered in our quilted herringbone fabric and is available in soft, medium and firm tensions.

The Avon

A step up from The Barle, The Avon is made with two rows of firm springs on each side of the mattress to reinforce the edges.

Organic latex gives extra support and it’s finished off with our locally sourced organic lambswool.

This entry-level eco mattress has a high quality pocket spring cage at its core.

We then upholster the mattress with a thick layer of re-cycled cotton denim that protects the springs and provides long lasting support. We finish the mattress with a generous layer of our West Country organic lambswool.

The mattress is covered in our quilted striped cotton and is available in soft, medium or firm density.
